Where do you want to be?
What a year it’s been so far!! Yes, mainland Scotland is back in lockdown, it’s baltic outside, there’s a bit too much black ice out there and the wi-fi went down in the shed/treatment room…. BUT… I have decided to focus on the positives and the future, and rather than writing a whole bunch of resolutions, I have instead signed up for a bunch of challenges!
Why am I telling you this?
Well, I’ve had a couple of light bulb moments this week that I wanted to share. The first was in my now daily yoga practice (I’m 6 days in so I am totally owning it!), the instructor commented that the first step is to show up! How true is that? It’s such a simple and obvious statement but for me was so powerful and has been in my thoughts since.
The second is a statement that has popped up for me in at least 3 different places this week, and that is to ‘Start with the end in mind’. When we program our sat nav that’s exactly what we do, so why not everything else? Keeping this in mind, I am now pondering questions like – what do I want from life? What new habits do I want to form or old ones to break – and what will I be able to do once I achieve success?
I’m going to invite you to ponder along with me in ‘starting with the end in mind’ – what is your end point – what is it you want to achieve and why?
