Do you have a hobby/what do you do for fun?

I came across an article on Linked In News this week about hobbies.  The author talked about his sister having one but he didn’t – his ‘identity’ was more wrapped up in his job.  This got me thinking, as 3 years ago when I launched my 2 businesses I turned my hobby in to my career/job…

So now when I am asked ‘what do you do for fun?’ or ‘do you have any hobbies?’ I really struggle to come up with an answer.  Before my answer would have always been photography!  As photography is now my business it feels odd to give it as an answer to these questions – and while the business is about brand photography and my personal favourite from a purely enjoyment aspect is abstract and landscape photography, the last year has hindered my ability to get out for photo trips!!

Now I am wondering is it time for a new hobby?  I love the idea in the article of an “activity of the month” and picking something new to trial for the month so see if it might stick?  And if you have any suggestions for me to try I am all ears!

So…. what do you do for fun? And is now the right time for you to try something new if you are currently scratching your head trying to answer the previous question?
