Life doesn’t have to be Difficult

How often when you were preparing for exams were you told to K.I.S.S.? At school I am sure this stood for ‘keep it simple stupid’ (more recently I have heard the ‘stupid’ swapped for ‘sexy’ and I think I like that much better 😉 )
As grown ups, I think a lot of us have forgotten this ‘top tip’! I was recording the latest Therapists in Conversation this week (will be available to watch on the 5th of Feb 2021) and it came up as a bit of a theme that many of us have a knack of making life way more difficult than we need it to be (we also talked about not wanting to be grown ups!!!).
My question to you is: What in your life are you over complicating and making more difficult for yourself? Are you overthinking? Are you analysing the life out of a problem and not getting anywhere with it? Are you going around in circles or faced with ‘paralysis’ when trying to get something started?
Taking a wee step back to ask that question might be enough to break you out of the complicated. As a tutor told me last year, sometimes we just need to put the snow globe down and let it settle. If taking a step back isn’t doing the trick then give me a shout for a ‘zoffee’ (zoom coffee) and together we can work on making it simple.
Book in for a ‘Zoffee’. If you want something a bit more focused book a discovery call and we can see how we can work together.
