Do you have a self care routine?
First Published 17 June 2021
I’ve been discussing ‘me time’ with some clients recently and it’s been interesting to see who has a routine/plan and who doesn’t. It’s also been interesting to see what people do in their ‘me time’.
So my question this week is what do you do that is just for you? Whether you call it me time, self care, gold time or something different – it is really important to take time out for yourself. One programme I have worked through advocates for 2 hours every day of dedicated time for self! If that feels like too much to start with, maybe start by scheduling 30 minutes in to your day.
Remember self care/me time can be as simple as reading a book for enjoyment, singing along to your favourite playlist, having a bath, going for a walk, or even having a conversation with a friend on the phone. It doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive – it just has to be something for you!
I took a bit more time that usual this week on me time and for me that included wandering around a castle with my camera! I might share some of the images in future posts!
Tell me your routine in the comments below!
Celebration Time
In other news – a wee celebration – I have this week received confirmation that Kinesiology qualification has been officially updated and I can now use the letters KFRP after my name!!
KFRP stands for Kinesiology Federation Registered Professional. Although as I have still never managed to work out what order all the letters after my name are supposed to go in I am not sure I will add them – well at least not just yet 😉
