Is life the same – or is it different?

Has your behaviour changed when going out and about?
I attended a business expo this week – in real life!! So that meant I had to put on ‘proper’ clothes and shoes, program sat nav and factor in travelling time. Most of those used to be part of my day to day life but have been few and far between in recent years!
Everyone was masked up. I noticed that if a row of stands looked a bit crowded that I would leave it and come back later. And, I noticed a number of empty stands – speculation was that maybe people were worried about the new strain, maybe they had symptoms or, maybe, it was all too much for them on the day and they changed their minds!!
I also heard from someone who had booked to attend that they had a cold – and while their test was negative, they didn’t want to make people feel uncomfortable if they heard coughing!
How things have changed from only a few years ago when a common cold wouldn’t have stopped a lot of people from going about their lives and likely passing it on to others… 🤷🏻♀️
What I did enjoy though, was chatting to people without a camera and monitor between us – in some cases with people I hadn’t seen in almost 2 years. As well as meeting some people for the first time that I have shared many a zoom call with – and getting hugs from not just one but two fellow brand photographers!! *Other hugs were available and greatly shared!!
As with everything in life, there has to be a balance. Mask wearing, test taking, and keeping your distance on one hand, whilst on the other hand continuing to live life without constant fear, stress and anxiety are just as important.
What does balance look like for you? Have your behaviours changed and if so how?
If fear, stress and anxiety are now part of your daily life (or for anyone you know and love) grab my handy guide (feel free to share the link too) or book zoffee in to the calendar!
