Life happens when you are busy making plans!
Isn’t it fun when things don’t quite go as you expect?
I can’t complain though as I have had a pretty good week.
A cheeky day trip on Monday involving a lovely lunch out and a quick visit to Loch Lomond with a friend from Orlando. A full(ish) calendar of networking and client calls and a board of trustees meeting, but the downside is less time for admin (which reminds me – I foolishly volunteered to take the minutes for that meeting so I better get them typed up!).
And that lack of admin means this is late in being sent out and the new website isn’t quite ready! I did mention last week that the aim was to launch on the 3rd anniversary of starting my weekly e-mails so technically I have until Sunday 😉 – so please do have a wee nosey over the weekend and let me know what you think!
In particular if you think there is anything missing that you would like to see/read about then do please let me know. Just click the logo at the bottom if you don’t have the link memorised 😉

So, as I am not celebrating the website launch quite yet, I thought I’d go for a wee recap!
Well, I say recap… was more thinking a wee general top tips list (I do love a good list!) of things that I have talked to with clients over the last wee while.
In no particular order:
- You do you! Work out what is right for you in a situation and do that. Don’t feel that you always have to do what suits everyone else or what’s expected of you.
- If a situation isn’t healthy – walk away. There is no need to stay and listen to someone who is pulling your energy down. You have full permission to remove yourself from a situation that isn’t good for you.
- Breathe! Have a play with some breathing exercises! In fact this has come up for a number of clients this week – and you all wanted something slightly different!
- Laugh. Find something that tickles you – whether it is physical (toddlers trying to tickle adults is usually amusing when they haven’t quite got the technique down) or something you see, read or hear. If comedy shows work for you, watch those. If it’s daft cat videos (we can’t be friends anymore 🤪) then watch those (I’ll try not to judge 😉 if you hadn’t guessed, I am not a cat person!)
- Find something every day to be thankful/grateful for. Your choice if you want to write it down!
- Dream! By that I mean have at least one thing that you want to look forward to or work towards – and maybe pick something that is fun?
- Celebrate! Find something to celebrate. It doesn’t have to be something huge!
Today I am celebrating that YOU are reading this. It’s been 3 years of weekly notes from me. Thank you for being here – whether from the start or just recently, I am thankful that you want to be on my ‘list’ and hopefully enjoy reading my musings. I do hope that you get value from them and that they make you smile, make you think or enrich your life even slightly.
Feel free to reply on anything you have read here or anything in general.
And as always, the link for a zoom chat is below and my calendar is available if you want to book in to work with me.
