Does the Weather Affect You?
Are you sensitive to the weather, the seasons, the time of year, solar flares and/or the Schumann resonances?
This month’s episode of Therapists in Conversation dives head first into the topic: “Spring (How weather affects us – No More SAD)” (You can watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_4E4oeWw_R0)
So, tune and hear what our panel this month had to say. If you are affected by SAD, is life easing as the days are getting longer in the Northern Hemisphere? If that’s not the case for you, please do get in touch.

Is your Mood Blooming along with the Flowers of Spring?
Our days are growing longer, the sun is teasing us with an appearance a little more frequently, the flowers are beginning to bloom in beautiful, vibrant colours. For some of us though, the shift in season isn’t all sunshine and roses. For others, the shifting season will bring with it a much needed and welcome boost in mood. Why is this though?
The longer days and increased sunlight exposure naturally help to regulate sleep patterns and serotonin production.
However, that doesn’t mean we can’t help it with an extra boost! Here are some ways to embrace the spring sunshine (well it’s Scotland so perhaps that should be ‘daylight’):
- Lighten Up Your Day: Get outside as much as possible, even on cloudy days. Open your curtains during the day to maximise natural light exposure in your home.
- Move Your Body: Regular exercise is a powerful mood booster. Take a quick walk in your lunch break (it’s a good idea to actually have a lunch break!), join a dance class, or simply stretch in your living room.
- Nourish Yourself: Eating a balanced diet overflowing with fruits, vegetables, and whole grains provides your body with the nutrients it needs to function optimally.
- Mindset Matters: Our inner dialogue massively impacts how we experience the world. Challenge any negative thoughts and focus on the positive aspects of spring – the longer days, warmer temperatures, and the promise of new beginnings.
Sometimes, even with the changing seasons, hidden imbalances or limiting beliefs can hinder our ability to fully embrace spring. Kinesiology can help identify these blockages and promote a sense of well-being.
Are you ready to ditch any lingering winter blues and blossom into the best version of yourself this spring? Book a complimentary discovery call to discuss how Kinesiology can help you achieve optimal health and well-being. Or, if you’re ready to dive straight in, book a Kinesiology session and take control of your mood!
Remember, spring is a time for renewal – a chance to refresh your body and mind. Embrace the sunshine, make healthy choices, and don’t be afraid to seek support if you need it. Let’s make this spring a season of joy and well-being! In the meantime, tune into Therapists in Conversation to hear our “insightful blether” – and don’t forget to do the usual like and subscribe thing😉
PS – if you have seen me out and about networking recently, I have been calling for snot monsters… so if spring having sprung is giving you the fear as hay fever season is just around the corner – remember that Kinesiology is great for reminding your system that there is no need for it to fight itself and we can work towards pressing that reset button and raising your tolerances to your hay fever triggers!
