The transformation you’re considering? It’s already combustible within you…
When was the last time you stood on the edge of a decision, knowing deep down that once you took that step, there was no going back?
You know, that threshold moment where desire and apprehension meet?
In our latest ‘Therapists in Conversation’ episode, we explored this using a powerful metaphor: lighting the blue touch paper on a firework.
You light it, you step back, and you don’t return—because it could blow up in your face. What follows is explosive, irreversible, and often unpredictable.
Here’s what struck me most from our conversation:
the transformation you’re contemplating isn’t something you need to CREATE. It’s already within you, waiting for the spark.

In Health Kinesiology, we understand this on a profound level.
When we work with the body’s energy systems – our meridians and chakras – we’re not inserting something new.
We’re clearing blockages and revealing what’s already there, what’s already combustible.
Your capacity for deep, meaningful change exists within you right now.
The question is: are you ready to light the fuse?
Chain Reaction
But here’s the truth nobody tells you: your transformation will set off other people’s fireworks too.
When you change, the entire web of relationships around you need to readjust and settle into a new state of ‘normal’.
Family and friends might react, not out of malice, but because they don’t know how to interact with this new version of you.
Your single spark can light fuses in places you never anticipated.
And once lit? Just like with a real firework, you can’t go back to before you lit the fuse.
Your old box doesn’t fit anymore, no matter how you try to stuff yourself back inside.
There is now an awareness in yourself and others that you are capable of change, and that can’t be erased.
The question is, are the feelings that come with this awareness fear or excitement? What do you notice in your body when it dawns on you?
Physiologically, fear and excitement are identical.
So it comes down to which story we attach to the feeling.
One of our panel members calls it “first time-itis” – a morally neutral acknowledgement of what happens when we face something new.
If you’ve been standing at your own version of a firework, ready to light that fuse but holding yourself back, notice and feel into that mix of desire and apprehension, perhaps it’s time to explore what you need to do to reach forward and put lit match to fuse…
In our 1:1 sessions, we work with your body’s wisdom to clear what’s blocking your transformation and reveal the power that’s been there all along.
Ready to light your fuse? Book a discovery call and let’s talk about what’s waiting to be revealed.
