Welcome 2021

Wishing you a Happy New Year

First published 31 December 2020

What a year it’s been!!! There have been many ups and downs this year – perhaps more so than in a ‘normal’ year.  I want to take this opportunity to thank you for still being here and for your support over the year!  And to ask you how have you celebrated your successes this year?

We have made it through who knows how many lock downs and rule changes, through ‘corona chub’ (and the endless trips to the fridge), through home learning and daily ‘allowed’ walks, through Netflix binges and perhaps a new language learned or a banana loaf baked – or maybe even just the success of putting on something other than ‘leisure wear’.  Perhaps through furlough and a bunch of new stuff to learn or boredom and the launch of Disney+; through continuing to work and wishing you were on furlough so you could have a break;  through redundancy (the job, not the person! subtle difference yet an important one) or perhaps through the challenges of building or starting a business and all the fun that goes with that!

Whatever has happened this year, we have made it to this point and I for one am excited to see what positives will now be part of the ‘norm’ in life post 2020!  I don’t for a minute think that when the clock strikes midnight that all will be reset and 2021 will be what we hoped 2020 would have been, I do think we still have a way to go before the world re-opens and we work out what life post COVID-19 will look like, but I am hopeful, and I am looking forward to interacting with you as the year gets underway – whether that be via zoom, socially distanced in a coffee shop or maybe even a handshake or a hug again when it’s allowed!

As always, I am available for a coffee chat or to book in a Kinesiology session with you, or any of your friends or family whenever it suits, just give me a call (0780 308 2997) and we can discuss your needs.  In the meantime, if stress is getting to you or you just need a wee boost check out the Emotional Stress Relief technique or any of the others on the self help.

A wee update on what’s happening at Inner Pathways:

At the start of 2020 I signed up for a diploma course that should have been a weekend a month in Edinburgh for the year for face to face learning.  Obviously things changed and the training went online.

Two weeks ago I ‘graduated’ virtually from this diploma (whoop whoop I got another 2 certificates 😉) and am now pleased to be able to offer Transformational Coaching and Hypnotherapy as well as Health Kinesiology.  Having completed the training on zoom and all my ‘practice sessions’ that way too I am really confident of the efficacy of these therapies on video call.  I will be offering these therapies from the start of the year, so if you fancy trying something different – or if you have found explaining Kinesiology to be tricky when suggesting a friend come see me then this might be a little less daunting.

I will be updating the website with the new therapies over the next few weeks and will happily welcome you for a discovery call to see if they might be helpful for you (or anyone you know!).  I’m still going to be offering Health Kinesiology (I’m even looking to pick up an advanced course in February so new tools coming there too! I’ve been told that comes with a certificate too…) so feel free to stick with what works for you.  There might be an option to have a blend – but I am still working out what that would look like… Happy to take on board your suggestions if you have any.

Tier 4

Mainland Scotland is currently in Tier 4 and as such the physical doors are closed for face to face sessions until further notice.  I am still hopeful that our professional bodies will gain the go ahead for us to reopen and provide this much needed service, until then we are in the ‘close contact’ services category and as such are unable to provide a face to face option.

For those of you that are comfortable with Zoom, it is still an excellent option – it works just as well – and you get to work with me from the comfort of your own sofa!  If zoom isn’t for you I will keep you posted and will check in individually with anyone with face to face bookings closer to the time whilst keeping my fingers crossed we will be able to go ahead by then.
