Can you find the Fun?
It’s nearly December! How did that happen?
I have spent time today looking back through what I have been up to throughout the second half of the year.
On one hand it feels like I’ve hardly done anything and it’s all flown by, but on the other hand I have actually done quite a bit and moved through my goals reasonably well….
So, as our minds turn to the end of the year – and whether that brings with it fun and excitement and decorations, or dread and money worries and family conflicts and/or loneliness, I wonder. is there is a way to inject some fun in to the mix that is just for you?
This week I had the joy of seeing my favourite band live in concert (for the 5th time over a span of 28 years!).
I spent the day leading up to it between bed and the bathroom – which was not a fun way to spend the day, but I listened to my body and rested!
Thankfully my tummy and headache settled enough that I was able to enjoy the gig.
A fun fact was that I attended that first gig all those years ago with 3 of the people who came with me this week! And for one of our group it was their first time! It was amusing to notice that the crowd had aged with us!

What can you do to find some fun?
Whether you need the peace and quiet of some alone time with:
- a book,
- a puzzle or game,
- ‘noodling’ on a guitar or other musical instrument
- your favourite comedy show and peace to enjoy it (and laugh as loud as you like with no one to pass comment)
or if you prefer the fun of company:
- on a night out,
- going for a group outing (for a walk, food, drinks etc),
- a wander around a Christmas market
- at a sporting event or
- a concert/gig
please do find some time at least 2 or 3 times this coming month where you can leave any worry or stress behind.
Whatever it is will still be there when you get home or wake up the next day after an evening to yourself.
But, and here’s the good bit, you might just find that you have a bit more clarity to deal with whatever it is that was weighing you down.
If you can, please do give yourself some space to breathe, to take stock and perhaps review the year you have had so far, look for the wins (you will find them as they come in all shapes and sizes!) – for those give yourself a pat on the back – and find something that you really love/enjoy doing, and do it! Your mind and body will thank you for it!
If you are struggling to find the wins, book a call with me and we can find them together.
And if you need rebalancing, I am still working in the lead up to the C word so do book in with me.
If it’s been a while, I have recently completed the latest advanced level of Kinesiology training so have some fun new tools and techniques in my bag of tricks – so come see what your body might pick!
