Useful Information

What actually happens in a session?

If you’ve never experienced Health Kinesiology before, it’s totally normal to wonder what you are walking/zooming into. Here’s the practical, no-surprises version.

Before we start

We’ll have a short chat about what’s brought you here – with as much or as little detail as you are comfortable sharing. You don’t need the full story worked out, and you don’t need to know what you “should” be working on. Your system will guide you.

What’s muscle response monitoring?

This is usually done through gentle, light pressure on your wrist – nothing forceful, nothing that requires effort or strength from you – we are not arm wrestling!

It’s simply a way of listening to a “yes” or “no” response from your body. No needles, no manipulation, nothing invasive.

If online, I will surrogate test for you and explain what I am doing throughout.

What will we cover?

Because your system leads the session, no two sessions will ever be the same. One session might stay focus entirely on one topic; another might move around from physical complaints to emotional challenges and then dip into something from years ago with no obvious connection to what you came in with. What ever we cover will be honouring your system and going where your energy takes us.

You don’t need to understand or explain the connection for it to be relevant – your body already knows why it matters.

How will I feel after a session?

Some people feel immediately lighter; some feel relaxed; some feel tired while others feel energised. Others notice changes unfolding gently over the following days.

All are completely normal. If anything concerns you after a session do message me immediately and we can discuss how you feel.

I’d always suggest drinking plenty of water afterwards and being gentle with yourself for the rest of the day.

Can I have a session Face to Face, in person?

Yes! My treatment room is in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, in a self contained garden room, so if you can get here, I’d love to welcome you for a face to face session.

There is plenty of on street parking, but I don’t have a waiting room so please don’t arrive too early!

Can I have a session Online?

Yes!

If you can’t get here physically, or would just prefer to have an online session, I’ll send you a Zoom link.

If you are using a laptop or desktop you can access via the link directly in your browser or the desktop application. Phones and tablets require you to download an app.

If it’s been a while since you have used zoom please allow time in advance for any updates that may be required before your session.

When connecting from home, I am well aware that life happens so, dogs barking, the doorbell ringing or kids making noise are nothing to worry about. Please do let the other people in your household know that you are busy, but if they do need to interrupt, it isn’t the end of the world!

How long is a session?

A first session can run a little longer than follow-ups as we have a bit more groundwork to cover.

Once we settle in, we aim for sessions to be up to 60 mins (your calendar invite will be for 90 min to allow for any over run and to give me time to prep for the next client) – if you require longer than this additional charges will apply (upon agreement).

How many sessions will I need?

Honestly, this varies enormously from person to person and depends on what you are wanting to work through. I can’t put a number on it and I would be wary of anyone who claims they can before they have met you.

We’ll work out an initial number of sessions to see an improvement on whatever you want to work on and then keep checking in together as we go, you are always free to stop whenever feels right for you. Likewise, you can always come back if you want to work on something else.

I tend to recommend that you aim to commit to at least three sessions (so that we can track and notice any changes), but we will check what your system wants on your first session.

Remember: the sooner you address an issue, the fewer sessions you will need to work through it.

What does it cost?

A standard Health Kinesiology/Natural Bioenergetics session is £95

For any of the other services and options offered, book a Discovery call to tailor a package to your needs.

How do I pay?

I accept cash, bank transfer, Credit Cards (my preference is bank transfer) – if you prefer to pay by credit card I will send you a payment link via Stripe.

Do you have a Cancellation Policy?

Life happens and I appreciate there will be occasions where you need to re-schedule or cancel a session. If the need arises, please give as much notice as possible.

I ask for full payment for the session if you cancel within 48 hours of the session time. If you need to cancel over a weekend, where possible please give 72 hours’ notice of cancellation as I have reserved that time for you.

What are your opening hours?

I typically see clients Tuesday to Thursday (between 10am and 10pm UK time).

If you require an appointment outwith these days please e-mail or call to discuss.

Booking is essential.

Why should I choose Health Kinesiology?

There are many branches of Kinesiology practised in the UK.  Practitioners are all trained to a consistent level.

While I can’t speak to the many other branches, Health Kinesiology uses muscle response monitoring and verbal questioning after making sure that the client is balanced first.

For information on the other branches, please see the Kinesiology Federation website.

Are you a member of any Professional Bodies?
