What’s your moon shot?

Moon Shots and Body Wisdom: The Dream You’ve Been Dismissing

First published 19 April 2026

Over the past fortnight, we’ve watched Artemis II launch, orbit the moon, troubleshoot Outlook issues in space (honestly), and land safely back on Earth.  A mission that was out of reach just a few decades ago, made real through the right support and consistent small steps.

But here’s what I keep coming back to: someone had to say out loud, “We’re going back to the moon.”  And I think it’s a pretty safe bet to say, plenty of people thought they were bonkers.

Every impossible thing starts with someone brave enough to name it.

So this week, I’m asking you: what’s your moon shot?

What’s the audacious dream you’ve been dismissing as “too big,” “too late,” or “not for someone like me”?

The Dreams We Don’t Say Out Loud

Maybe it’s:

  • Starting that business you’ve been planning for years.
  • Writing the book.
  • Changing careers entirely.
  • Healing that relationship.
  • Finally addressing the health issue you’ve been ignoring.
  • Leaving the job that’s draining you.
  • Creating the life you actually want instead of the one you’ve settled for.

Whatever it is, I’d bet you’ve got a dozen reasons why it’s not realistic.

Not now.

Not for you.

Not possible. And I’d also bet that somewhere in your body, there’s a quiet knowing that it is possible.  Because your energy system doesn’t deal in “realistic” – it deals in truth

Your Body Already Knows

In kinesiology, we can actually test what your body believes versus what your conscious mind tells you.  And here’s what I’ve discovered time and again: your body knows what you’re capable of long before your logical mind catches up.

The Kidney meridian governs willpower and determination – it holds your deepest reserves of strength.  When we muscle test around your audacious goals, this meridian often lights up with a resounding “yes” even when your mind is screaming “impossible.”

Your third eye chakra – your centre of intuition and vision – sees possibilities your rational brain dismisses.  It’s not being naïve or unrealistic.  It’s accessing a different kind of knowing.

The Heart meridian in Chinese medicine is called the “Emperor” – it knows your true path, your authentic purpose.  When something is truly meant for you, your heart meridian recognises it, even if the journey looks terrifying.

Your energy system doesn’t lie to make you feel better.  It tells you what’s true.

Permission to Dream Bigger

So here’s your homework for this week – and I mean it, actually do this:

Write down your moon shot.

The big one.

The scary one.

The one that makes you feel a bit ridiculous even writing it down.

Don’t edit it.  Don’t make it “realistic.”  Don’t water it down into something more achievable.

Just name it.

Because here’s the thing about moon shots: you don’t need to know how yet.  The Artemis astronauts didn’t figure out the engineering themselves.

They had mission control (remember week one of this mini series?).

They took small, consistent steps (week two).

But first, someone had to be brave enough to say: “We’re going to the moon.”

You can’t build the rocket until you name the destination.

Your body already knows what you’re capable of.

Your logical mind just needs to catch up.

If you need support to stop dismissing your moon shot and start taking it seriously, you know where I am.  Sometimes we all need someone to look us in the eye and say: “That’s not too big.  That’s exactly right.

What’s your moon shot?

Ready for launch,

Angela.

Write it down.

Seriously.

Even if you do nothing else with it this week, just name it.  That’s the first act of making it real.
